Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm, makes you wonder.
“The free exercise of religion and respect for private property are not a promising agenda for progressives.”
I didn’t know that Freedom of Religion and Respect for private property rights is no longer a constitutional point, but instead merely an agenda for progressives… wow.
I feel no desire to say anything more about this:
Slow ticket sales have bumped Sarah Palin’s appearance next week in Jacksonville to a smaller venue.
“An Evening of Hope with Sarah Palin” was moved from the 2,936-seat Moran Theatre to the 609-seat Terry Theatre. Both theaters are part of the Times-Union Center for the Performing Arts.
What in the hell is wrong with you people?
A new national survey by the Pew Research Center finds that nearly one-in-five Americans (18%) now say Obama is a Muslim, up from 11% in March 2009. Only about one-third of adults (34%) say Obama is a Christian, down sharply from 48% in 2009. Fully 43% say they do not know what Obama’s religion is.
…
Roughly a third of conservative Republicans (34%) say Obama is a Muslim, as do 30% of those who disapprove of Obama’s job performance. But even among many of his supporters and allies, less than half now say Obama is a Christian. Among Democrats, for instance, 46% say Obama is a Christian, down from 55% in March 2009.
The belief that Obama is a Muslim has increased most sharply among Republicans (up 14 points since 2009), especially conservative Republicans (up 16 points). But the number of independents who say Obama is a Muslim has also increased significantly (up eight points). There has been little change in the number of Democrats who say Obama is a Muslim, but fewer Democrats today say he is a Christian (down nine points since 2009).
Well, all you can do is keep fighting the lies.
I wonder who he voted for in the last election?
Missouri farmer David Jungerman has raised the hackles of local residents with a politically-charged sign he’s placed on his “45-foot-long, semi-truck box trailer” on his farm. The trailer reads: “Are you a Producer or Parasite Democrats – Party of the Parasites.” Now, the Kansas City Star reveals that Jungerman has been the recipient of over a million dollars of federal farm subsidies since 1995
Yeahhhhhhh…. I got nothing I can add to this…
I’d not even bothered with Rep Souder’s resignation after it came out that he was having an affair with a staffer, but this one is just too much to pass up, the woman interviewing him on his abstinence only stance? his mistress.
Edit: the original seems to be pulled, but it’s almost impossible to make something vanish from the interwebs:
Well, I suppose if you’re the daughter of caribou barbie, getting knocked up is the path to a lucrative payday:
Bristol Palin “is hitting the speakers’ circuit and will command between $15,000 and $30,000 for each appearance,” the AP reports.
“Palin was thrust into the spotlight as a pregnant teen during her mother’s unsuccessful campaign for vice president in 2008. She had son Tripp that year and has since spoken about abstinence and the challenges of life as a young single mother.”
You’re telling me people are paying Bristol money to tell people to a) not have sex, even though it’s obvious she did, and b) that being a young single mom is tough, even though she’s now earning more money than 95 percent of the rest of the country? I’d laugh, but this is simply another symptom of the decline of Conservatism and the Republican party.
As this is really low hanging fruit…
But I think The Agitator is right, the best way to determine if a person is gay, is by how homophobic they are. After all, fighting to prevent gay marriage and adoptions by gay couples, while adopting a 16 year old boy yourself and then hiring a gay escort to go on a trip is perfectly normal behavior for a married man who hates ‘teh gay people’, right? right?!?
Ah, the smell of schadenfreude in the air.
RNC Chairman Michael Steele appears to really like teh gay sex, if it’s between women. If this doesn’t sink him, I’m renaming him Molly Brown.
Once on the ground, FEC filings suggest, Steele travels in style. A February RNC trip to California, for example, included a $9,099 stop at the Beverly Hills Hotel, $6,596 dropped at the nearby Four Seasons, and $1,620.71 spent [update: the amount is actually $1,946.25] at Voyeur West Hollywood, a bondage-themed nightclub featuring topless women dancers imitating lesbian sex.
Rule 1 – Never EVER put something on the company tab that could really embarrass yourself or your company when it comes out.
Update – Mea Culpa – it looks like Steele isn’t the one directly implicated by the lesbian bondage club, it appears directed at a staffer, and that the daily caller is really really out to get Steele. At this point Steele has so many people on the Inside of the RNC that it’s a leak-o-rama there. and the Republicans are so disorganized they can’t either a) stop the leaks or b) censure Steele.

There are plenty more questions at the link. but really, my head hurts now. Even though I’m not that surprised, I hear stuff like this all the time and it take a lot of willpower not to just mock them unmercifully.
(crosstabs here)
Nate Silver has it:
Therefore, the odds of being on given departure which is the subject of a terrorist incident have been 1 in 10,408,947 over the past decade. By contrast, the odds of being struck by lightning in a given year are about 1 in 500,000. This means that you could board 20 flights per year and still be less likely to be the subject of an attempted terrorist attack than to be struck by lightning.
Really, we’re afraid of what?
Stormy Daniels for Senate?I’d vote for her. She’s gotta be better than Vitter.
Q: You’re referring to Senator Vitter’s link to a Washington, D.C. escort service . . .
A: I’m not one to judge someone’s sexual activity, but what annoys me is that he’s so hard-core “family values,” and he puts his wife and kids out there, saying he’s a Christian family man. Then he’s caught up in a prostitution scandal. He’s a hypocrite.
Q: How much will your résumé be a factor?
A: It’s actually starting to work in my favor—I have nothing to hide. A sex tape of me isn’t going to pop up and shame me; there are 150 of them at the video store.
Q: Do you think you’re more qualified than Senator Vitter?
A: Absolutely not. But in one movie, I did play a Secret Service agent marooned on an island controlled by North Korea. I butt heads with dictator Kim Jong-il and come out on top.
…
Q: Your campaign adviser’s car was bombed in July, although he wasn’t in the car. Was this politically motivated?
A: I hope so. I hope someone is that afraid or interested in what I’m doing that they would try to scare me out of the race.
Q: If you’re elected, will you quit porn?
A: Probably, but only because of HD…and gravity.
