These are two of my favorite games, and since it is not always easy to get my friends together for a night of Martini’s and playing, this will do. They have both human and robots you can play against. I for one, at times can be anti-social, so I tend to pick the bots. I rarely have any trouble with this site, though occasionally you will get a bit of lag if it is really busy. Beware if you are playing in the non-ranked games you will find some of the human players tend to quit if they are losing.
They grow strange things in Italy.
I was fascinated with where people would hang their laundry in Italy, but this one was definitely my favorite. I was actually trying to take some pictures of these lovely little green bugs that were darting about in this HUGE version of a flower that I can grow only in tiny varieties in the states. I snapped this shot and only later fully realized how this garden was growing, with socks, and bras and underwear.
Rapunzel, let down your hair.
This picture was taken in Volterra, Italy 9/10/09, just past the Roman Teatro. I had spent my evening with my companions, listening to them chatter about work, whine about only wanting pepperoni pizza, and happened to glance up. The fairytale image grabbed me, and let me become lost for a while in something outside the mundane that had surrounded me all evening. I am thankful for the diversion, it helped me keep my sanity for the night.
