Prose: A Fragment

Even full moon took an ashen light as he stood by her grave. Lauren waited respectfully away, her hands clasped, watching with sympathy but not interfering. He stared at the earth, covered in grass, the headstone was well worn but still readable. He traced his fingers across the marble, then held himself still as the faintest echoes of wind-chimes brushed his hearing.

“I remember,” He said.

The wind picked up the loose leaves, their browns and reds washed out into shadows as they swirled around Kevlar. He pulled his jacket tighter, feeling the leather stretch and creak slightly as his fingers gripped tight. He closed his eyes letting the cold settle down over him. The wind-chimes sounded softly again and the wind stilled. Even the darkness pauses, he thought. The world slowed for a moment as he knelt and placed a single red rose, made black by the night, at the base of the grave.

“I still remember,” He whispered.

The wind picked back up swirling the fallen leaves around him as the wind-chimes picked up in volume. His hair fell over his face as he bowed his head down to the leaves and dust kicked up. Then he stood up and kissed the top of the gravestone. He turned and walked a couple of steps, then turned back to face the grave,

“I’ll always remember.”

“Happy Anniversary, Rhee,”

Poem: Silver Kiss

Silver meets flesh in a slick
silver kiss.
Blood falls into his mouth,
she’s moaning
falling into the pleasure of
their special kiss,
that has their promise of love,
happiness and eternity.
What more can she ask for?
nothing she has all she wants and needs.

Poem: Once was…

She was a site worth seeing,
Proud yet Careless
Classy yet Dirty
Something she once was
wrapped in his tight embrace
of death,
She’s barely here anymore,
Pale,Sickly, & Skinny.
Death is playing chess,
Life is sleeping
no where to hide
no where to run,
What shall become of her?
This once grand beauty
Now a sickly old maid.

Band of the Week – 65 Days of Static

Most of you have probably never even heard of this band. If you’re into industrial/experimental/dance they’re a damn good band to check out. They’re spectacular live (they opened for The Cure), and quite simply they have a energy and drive to their songs that most bands dream of trying to acquire. Most of their stuff is instrumental or spoken word, so if you’re someone who loves amazing singing, this band may not be for you. but if you love incredible drumming and some surprisingly textured and nuanced sound amidst the ’static’ (which is a wall of sound that still maintains identity even as the music powers into you)

And yes, they can pull it off live.

Poem: My True Fear

Tis too much to handle
Tis too much to see
Tis too much to feel
My hands at my mouth,
I see the thing I dread,
I should’ve stayed home
I should’ve listened
Now i Regret it
as I stand in this position,
Its gleam bright red eyes
Its sickening black shape
and its dark sinister aura,
I wanted to run and flee
to far away from the thing I fear,
to close my eyes
and it be an illusion,
This is my fate,
forever be haunted
by these creatures
to forever live in the past
and to forever fear sleeping,
no where to run
no where to hide
I am in their plain
sight.

Poem: Inner Wars

My ears hear the distant drummers
as they readied for war.
they sky darkens as gunfire is
released.
I open my dark eyes and below me
there lay millions drenched in blood..
Black oil mixes with the redness as
it all becomes clear to those still
left alive.
My skin is covered in gun powder
nothing matters now as all is lost in
this senseless war.
Death surrounds me,
heart break everlasting,
anger notable.
my tears are silent as I hear my
own drummer march into battle,
I’ve become numb and feel useless,
I’ve become a pawn  in this war,
my men gunned down,
guilt and responsibility weigh heavy
on my shoulders as I watch my world
crash and burn.
In my anger I sold myself to the
devil..
Now I lay here in my own blood
cursing myself for my stupidity
and anger.
Nothing will ever be the same
again as my darken eyes close
remembering..
their soulless ones.

Drunk Simulation Driving (Humor)

Does anyone remember being the designated drunk driver?

Money Quote:

“You ran off the road after a curve. You crashed into a bus. You killed a pedestrian. You had a frontal collision with a car driving in the opposite direction in the other lane. You killed a bicyclist. As the test ended, you were beginning a dangerous maneuver that might have caused a rollover if it had continued.”

Poem: Golden Bell

I sit here crying as I wait for the silent ring of golden bells
waiting for the reaper of souls to pass me by onwards
carrying off those i care for,
with his sadden features of despair
he apologizes for his job,
his requirement of life,
he postponed as long as he could,
but the time is now,
as the silent golden bells of Heaven
call upon the worthy souls,
and as the loud screams of torture
call upon the damned.

Car Shopping

Not that many people will care, but I’m always struck by how certain car dealerships operate outside the bounds of sanity in order to try to force you into purchasing a car. I could happily name dealerships, and I know If someone were to ask me about certain ones I’d tell you to never ever go there.

So I have a new Civic, the interior looks almost like a airplane cockpit with the size of the windows and the set up of the dashboard. it’s pretty sleek, and has more stuff on it than I know what to do with. (automatic windows, what in the world are those???)

My poor Chevy Cavalier had made it to 296,067 miles and of course, with all the issues I’d had with it, it drove to the lot without a single hitch (All the overheating problems didn’t happen). It was a good trooper and did me proud.

I’m probably a wee bit melancholy about having to get rid of it, but at the same time, I’m glad I have a car that won’t give me problems. *knock on wood*

I’ll get back to more posting soon enough. Real Life will bug me less soon enough :)

That’s going to leave a mark.

I got a lot to say to you
Yeah, I got a lot to say

What do you do when you know instinctively that there is something between you and a certain person, but neither of you dare try it or even speak out of fear of what it might create.

If you want to play it like a game
Well, come on, come on, let’s play

So both of you lead separate lives. Each of you have significant others who you are pretty much happy with…. but not quite. You each always look back towards the other because neither of you are happy, but don’t want to admit that you both need that “special something” that only the other can provide. So you cheat. You lie. You still see each other.
Nothing compares to a quiet evening alone
Just the one-two of us, who’s counting on
That never happens
I guess I’m dreaming again
Let’s be more than this now

At the end of it all, you just sit in the car doing nothing but talking, because you don’t want to let it go. Its so close. Its almost tangible. Its right there, but yet, after a rare stolen kiss, they go home, you go inside your house and everything goes back to what it was. The only things left are marred memories, bruises, and a few photos taken hastily with your camera phone.
