hmmmm Interesting… it’s certainly worth thinking about.
Yeah, if you hadn’t noticed, things have been extremely busy for me with work and real life. So I’m going to start busting some heads and remind my whole gaggle of guest writers to chip in and help pick up some of the slack for a bit.
The blog puttering along right now, getting over 10K pageviews a month. So, get your writing chops on and help out a poor overworked blogger
If you haven’t noticed, this blog is about everything and nothing, so that means you can write about pretty much anything, so long as it’s interesting to someone.
Anyway, I’m going to keep writing, but it just frustrates me to not be able to put the time into the blog that I would like to. So hopefully with a few other people contributing content, we can bring things back to a more colorful and interesting blog.
this one gave me the giggles, at least he manages to keep a reasonably good attitude about it.
It’s going to work
BP Plc made progress toward plugging a leaking well that’s been spewing oil into the Gulf of Mexico for more than a month by temporarily stopping the flow, U.S. Coast Guard Commandant Thad Allen said.
“They’ve had some success overnight,” Allen said today in an interview on WWL radio in New Orleans. “Everybody is cautiously optimistic but there’s no reason to declare victory yet.”
Sometimes people over estimate the impact of mistakes and missteps, in this case, I’m pretty confident that Blumenthal has survived the storm.
A new Quinnipiac poll in Connecticut finds Richard Blumenthal (D) leads Linda McMahon (R) by 25 points in the U.S. Senare race, 56% to 31%.
Blumenthal held a 33 point lead in March.
Said pollster Douglas Schwartz: “It looks like Connecticut voters forgive Attorney General Richard Blumenthal, or feel that there is nothing to forgive in the Vietnam service flap. While he has taken a hit with voters, his poll numbers were so high to begin with that he still maintains a commanding lead over Linda McMahon.”
Interestingly enough McMahon doesn’t appear to be able to garner any traction with moderates, which is critical for a Republican who wants to win in the North East.
I mean, just damn that was fanstastic, and it illustrates how all metal is not the same.
After all, I tend to post such negative or fact based stuff, it’s time to note something that went right in the world. We need more people like her and her family in the world.

Nothing happens in a vacuum, and this could be one of those times where something polls well but ends up still being horrible politics, not only in the long run, but in the short run as well.
There’s no doubt that the new Arizona immigration law is popular nationally, but that still doesn’t mean the issue’s going to work to the GOP’s advantage this fall.
When we polled Colorado in early March Michael Bennet and Jane Norton were tied. Last week we found Bennet with a 3 point lead. One of the biggest reasons for that shift? Bennet went from leading Norton by 12 points with Hispanic voters to a 21 point advantage. That large shift in a Democratic direction among Hispanics mirrors what we saw in our Arizona Senate polling last month- Rodney Glassman went from trailing John McCain by 17 points with them in September to now holding a 17 point lead.
I’m not holding my breath that Magically McCain will be fired, (though if he’s primaried out, I think the seat could be up for grabs) but it could help Bennet and keep him in decent shape this election.
